Features

  • Home ADSL services are fixed price, regardless of your download volumes. If your download quota is exceeded, shaping of download traffic is applied at 64 kbits/second. There is a maximum 'shaped excess' allowance of 3 gigabytes - additional access constraints may be applied beyond this amount.
  • All plans are Dynamic IP services, intended for home broadband access.
  • Internode allows its customers to run their services with no network ports blocked. By default we do protect our customers (on layer 2 plans only) by filtering some ports which are generally used to propogate network worms and attacks. You are welcome to disable that protection via an online web page if you wish to.
  • Servers may technically be run on these plans, however Internode recommends the use of SOHO ADSL plans for server and VPN applications.
  • These plans are 'Layer 2' services using the PPP protocol via PPPoE or PPPoA to connect.
  • Always-available connection - Connect anytime, no busy signals, dedicated connection to the Internet.
  • Use your phone concurrently - Telephone line can place and receive calls concurrently - no second line needed!
  • Dynamic IP address - Supports PPPoE client software or a PPPoE / PPPoA compatible firewall device.
  • All Operating Systems Welcome - If it supports PPPoE, you're welcome to use it. Mac, Linux, PC/Windows, whatever. We don't discriminate.
  • Bring your own ADSL device - Choose the device that suits your needs - bring your own or buy one from us at a competitive rate - see our price list for details.
  • Use anytime - No Peak/Offpeak time limitations on when you can use your service [1]
  • No regional surcharge - Same access prices for any area we cover, metro or regional.
  • No upload surcharge - All upload-direction data is free of charge [2]
  • Casual dialup account with 10 hours included free then $1 per hour pay-as-you-go.
  • Optional $10/month extra for 300 hours of dialup account access per month.
  • Global roaming facility for dialup and WiFi access via iPass (separate usage charges apply - click here for details).
  • Up to four additional mailboxes (total of 5 including primary account) included.
  • 50 MB Webspace included (for personal non-commercial use only).
  • All prices quoted include GST and are subject to change without notice.

[1] Some ADSL providers provide different usage allocations for different time bands. We let you use your connection whenever you want without penalty.

[2] Some other ADSL service providers assess and charge for both upload and download data on your ADSL connection. This means that applications which send and receive data concurrently (such as online games) are effectively double-charged. Internode assesses usage only in the 'download' (Internet-to-customer) direction, and traffic returned from the customer to the Internet is FREE.

  • High Speed ADSL1 plan notes:
    • Wide coverage - "High" ADSL plans are available in all current ADSL service areas.
    • High speed plans will not appear in the Online Signup or Plan Changer unless your phone service is connected to a Telstra enabled telephone exchange.
    • Minimum speed - 1500k/256k.
    • Maximum possible speed obtainable, depends on the length and quality of your phone line from your telephone exchange, the type of ADSL modem you are using and technological constraints of the phone line.
    • Maximum Possible Speeds: 8000k/384k
    • Internode do not guarantee that customers who select these High speed plans will be able to obtain the full quoted speed.
    • Some customers may have phone services that are connected to Telstra RIM devices. In these cases, Telstra may limit the maximum speed of your service - this is outside of the control of Internode.
  • Extreme® ADSL2+ Notes:

    • Extreme customers not yet migrated to an Agile ADSL2+ DSLAM (or unable to be migrated) will achieve a line speed of 1500k/256k .
    • Extreme plans may be deployed on Telstra Wholesale ports where an Agile port is not currently available.
    • For further information about Extreme® ADSL2+ see http://www.internode.on.net/adsl2/

  • No Static IP addresses are available - Use our SOHO or Business ADSL service if a static IP address is required.
  • $65 early termination fee if service is cancelled within 6 months.
  • Internode recommend a monthly billing arrangement, as any requested changes to your account (eg speed or data change) is actioned by our system at the start of the next billing period. Therefore paying on a monthly basis - Credit Card or Direct Debit - means you are able to make changes to your service on a monthly basis, whereas if you are being invoiced quarterly, any changes will occur at the start of the next quarter.
  • Internode services are non-refundable.
  • Additional limitations are noted below in the notes section.
  • Conditions may change - If service conditions are changed in the future, customers will be permitted to cease using the service without penalty if the new conditions are not accepted.
