Spam and Virus Email Filtering

Customers using Internode HOME and SOHO connections can enjoy increased Internet protection provided by this feature. This service includes:

  • Blocking common virus, and file sharing ports.
  • Blocking direct outgoing SMTP email not sent through the Internet mail server.
  • These features are on by default for HOME services and can be activated for SOHO services see the FAQ for more information.

Internode provides, free of charge to our customers, a comprehensive spam and virus filtering system. This service includes

  • Adjustable spam filter settings, including whitelists, blacklists and Friends
  • Virus scanning and filtering (messages containing viruses are deleted)
  • These features are on by default for all Internode POP/IMAP email accounts - spam settings are set to a 'light' option, this can be adjusted by clicking on the link below.
