Internode Opens Melbourne Office
In May, Internode announced that it had dramatically accelerated its plans to deploy super-fast ADSL2+ broadband in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane and was committed to a multi-million-dollar upgrade of its ADSL2+ deployment schedule from 67 exchanges to 113 exchanges throughout the country. This includes 14 extra exchanges in Melbourne, 12 more in Sydney, five in Canberra and seven in Brisbane.
The Melbourne office is fronted by Fabio Conte who has been appointed as Corporate Account Manager and joins Internode with more than seven years' experience in business development and sales positions. He is responsible for establishing Internode's direct presence in the state and identifying and closing new business. He will also work in conjunction with Internode's sales teams based in South Australia and New South Wales to drive growth for the organisation.
Conte joins Internode from ISP Networks where he was National Account Manager with responsibility for both account management and business development for the company's Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Internet business. Prior, he worked at PowerTel as Corporate Account Executive and was previously Business Development Manager at Asia Online.
Eddie Cejvan joins Internode as Pre-Sales Engineer with responsibility for managing seamless engineering integration of Internode solutions within client network requirements. Previously at Hubbub where he was a Solutions Consultant for the past five years, his experience includes application testing and network security systems implementation for hosting environments. He also designed secure Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions for external developers and customers.
Prior, Cejvan was a Systems Architect at InvestorWeb with responsibilities for pre-sales consulting and post-sales technology implementation and support. He has also worked at Primus Internet as Pre-Sales Consultant and held the roles of Systems Administrator with Hotspace and Technical Consultant at Comalco Research Centre.
"The opening of our Melbourne office is testament to our commitment to Victoria. However, the new team will also enable us to provide increased local support and greater direct access to Internode solutions for organisations along the eastern seaboard requiring both national and international broadband connectivity," said Daryl Knight, National Sales Manager, Internode.
