Internode Opens Throttle with new High Speed Plans
Of Internode's 15 new nationally available "Power" plans, seven plans offer High-Speed ADSL1 services with enhanced speeds of up to 8 megabits per second (Mb/s). Actual performance depends on variables such as your distance from the exchange and line quality.
Prices for the High-Speed ADSL plans range from $79.95 with a 20 gigabyte (GB) data download allowance to $159.95 with a 90 GB allowance. All the new plans are shaped - which slow download speeds once the allowance is exceeded - rather than charging extra.
Internode has also revised its first-generation fixed-speed ADSL plans, which have a maximum download speed of 1.5 Mb/s..
Internode launched these new plans for its Home and SOHO customers on January 10, 2007. Revised Business plans will be released in March, once Internode completes service testing to ensure service reliability, latency and achievable speeds.
Internode's top-of-the-range plans deliver its industry-leading Internode Extreme ADSL2+ broadband, offering speeds up to 24 Mb/s to customers at selected exchanges across Australia.
Internode managing director Simon Hackett said the new plans gave customers a clear choice between fast, faster and fastest. "Internode's new plans give our customers access to the fastest broadband service available in their area," he said.
"If they are not already in an Internode Extreme Broadband coverage area, they can now use one of our new High Speed ADSL plans, running at speeds up to 8Mb/ps, until our Extreme Broadband equipment is installed. At the entry level, we are making 1.5 Mb/s plans even more affordable."
"Internode’s aim is to give its customers the ability to choose the fastest broadband plans available."
