Internode unveils Bluebox as its first IPTV partner
Internode has signed an agreement with Bluebox Devices that will offer Internode customers access to the unique, Australian-developed Video on Demand (VoD) system. Through this relationship, Internode customers will be among the first in the world to sample a new kind of content-on-demand system developed by Bluebox Devices.
The partnership will leverage the capacity and technical flexibility of the fully VoD/IPTV-capable ADSL2+ infrastructure deployed nationally by Internode.
Internode managing director Simon Hackett said the agreement with Bluebox provided Internode customers with an opportunity to try out an engaging new online experience. "We are excited at the technology being developed by Bluebox," he said.
"Bluebox is the first cab off the rank in terms of Internode's partnerships and strategies that are intended to offer our customers opportunities and services in the Video on Demand realm in the next 12 months."
"Internode is pleased to provide Bluebox with technical support and access to our network as a test bed for the company's upcoming developments. We look forward to working with Bluebox as a significant part of the VoD/IPTV ecosystem."
Bluebox Devices CEO Robert Yearsley said Bluebox valued working with another Australian pioneer. "It's a great opportunity to bring our revolutionary VoD service to Internode customers," he said.
"Bluebox and Internode share a focus on creating the best customer experience possible, so in the coming months both organisations will work to develop the best user experience and the highest quality of VoD service for Internode customers."
