Broadband ADSL Plan Revisions and Updates
Broadband ADSL Plan Updates
New High Speed 'ADSL Plus' Plans
Today we're introducing a new range of broadband plans called ADSL Plus. These plans are available on a national basis very widespread coverage, and are a great alternative for customers who enjoy high speed Broadband, but are currently unable to access Internode's Extreme ADSL2+ or Naked ADSL2+ services.
ADSL Plus plans offer speeds of up to 8000/384 kbps, and the new plans start from $69.95 per month with 5 Gigabytes of monthly download quota.
The new ADSL Plus plans replace our existing High Speed ADSL1 plans, and are available right now for new and existing customers. As a result, the High Speed ADSL1 plans are no longer available for new connections.
Internode customers on Fixed Speed ADSL1 or High Speed ADSL1 plans are encouraged to review our new plans, and compare them with your current ADSL plan. It could be time to upgrade to ADSL Plus, or maybe one of the new 1500 kbps plans released earlier this year.
- As an added incentive, we're waiving the usual $20 charge for upgrading the speed on a Fixed Speed ADSL1 service. Until 30/06/2008, you can upgrade from 256/64 kbps, 512/128 kbps, 512/512 kbps or 1500/256 kbps; to 512/128 kbps, 512/512 kbps, 1500/256 kbps or ADSL Plus; without incurring a speed change charge.
- Simply schedule your required change via the Online Plan Changer in My Internode.

Name change for our Fixed Speed ADSL1 plans
In line with the change in name of High Speed ADSL1 to ADSL Plus, we've also renamed our Fixed Speed ADSL1 plans - that is, those services that operate at the fixed speeds of 256/64 kbps, 512/128 kbps, 512/512 kbps and 1500/256 kbps.
These are now called ADSL Standard.
No action is required by customers for this change, it's simply a name change of our existing fixed-speed plans. These include Home 1500/256 kbps plans from $49.95 on a 5 GB plan; and our recently launched 1500/256 kbps 15 GB plan at only $59.95 per month.

New Business ADSL Plans
We've also reviewed our entire Business ADSL plan range. Our Business ADSL plans now start from just $79 per month; and significantly we now have a Business Extreme ADSL2+ plan for less than $100 per month.
Business ADSL is our premier service, with useful business features such as Priority Business Helpdesk Support, 99.2% Service Level Agreement, and Annex M for high uploads on Business Extreme. These services are never shaped, and naturally include static IP addressing with support for subnets.
There's been a lot of development in our Business ADSL plan set recently:
- Earlier this year, the 'excess rate' for Business ADSL reduced from 5 cents per MB to 0.5 cents per MB (and this change has also just been extended to our Business Web Hosting services).
- Next we reduced the Price Cap - the maximum monthly charge, including both rental and excess, for Business ADSL services up to 1500/256 kbps.
- Last month we launched Business ADSL Unlimited plans for service up to 1500/256 - with unlimited downloads, no shaping, and no excess charges.
The new Business ADSL plans now offer lower price entry points at 25 Gigabytes per month; ranging up to the highest quotas ever on Internode ADSL (150 Gigabytes per month); with new flexibility via a range of choices in between.
All current Business ADSL 'Standard' and 'Premium' plans are now 'grandfathered' - existing customers can stay on these plans if they like, or move to one of the new plans via the Online Plan Changer in My Internode}.
We encourage existing Business ADSL customers to review our new plans, and compare them with your current ADSL plan.
- As an added incentive, we're waiving the usual $20 charge for upgrading the speed on a Fixed Speed ADSL1 service. Until 30/06/2008, you can upgrade from 256/64 kbps, 512/128 kbps, 512/512 kbps, or 1500/256 kbps; to 512/128 kbps, 512/512 kbps, 1500/256 kbps or ADSL Plus; without incurring a speed change charge.
- Simply schedule your required change via the Online Plan Changer in My Internode.

Free Speed Upgrades
Are you an existing Internode ADSL customer? Are you thinking of upgrading to a higher speed?
If so, then now would be a great time to do just that!
Along with our new plans, from today, we're offering free speed changes up to our higher speed plans. Specifically, if you're changing to a higher speed plan from now until the 30th of June, we'll waive the $20 speed change fee.
Please note however, that this offer does not apply to speed downgrades, or when migrating to or from Extreme or Naked ADSL2+. And changing plans at the same speed - that is, changing your monthly quota - remains free of any once-off charges.
ADSL Hardware Warranty Change
As of 9th April, the equipment warranty for ADSL hardware sold by Internode has increased from 12 to 24 months.
This includes existing hardware purchases from Internode. So if you've purchased a Billion, OPEN Networks or Cisco ADSL router or NodePhone telephone adapter from Internode in the past two years, you're still covered under our fast replacement warranty for two years from the date of invoice of your original equipment purchase!

Change to ADSL Early Cancellation Fee
We currently charge $65 if ADSL services are cancelled within the first six months. For all new sign ups from 6 May 2008, this will be changed to an Early Cancellation Charge of $65 and apply if the service is cancelled within the first twelve months. This applies to all ADSL products - ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus, Extreme ADSL2+ and Naked ADSL2+.
No existing customers are affected - this applies to new connections only.
Customers continue to be exempt from an Early Cancellation Charge on an existing ADSL service, when relocating to a new premises and choosing Internode ADSL (although the 12 months will now apply to the service at the new premises). Similarly, the Early Cancellation Charge is waived on a pre-existing ADSL service, when changing to another Internode ADSL technology, such as Naked ADSL2+
