Internode offers customers free ADSL setup
Available for any new customer - including a new ADSL service, a churn or transfer from another ISP - the free setup offer applies to all Internode ADSL broadband services including ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus, Extreme ADSL2+, Naked ADSL2+ and NakedExtreme ADSL2+. An early cancellation charge of $199 applies to the 24-month offer.
Alternatively customers can select a one-month contract if they prefer, and pay either a $39 churn or a $129 setup fee, with no early cancellation charge.
Internode managing director Simon Hackett said the fee-free option was to meet the needs of customers who preferred low up-front costs for a broadband service.
"Internode has a very low customer departure rate - most customers stay for many years after signing up with us," he said.
"Customers can now choose to pay no up-front setup fee, in exchange for a fixed contract period. Alternatively, they can pay a normal setup fee up front, and have casual month-by-month contract."
The new options also benefit existing Internode customers, who can opt to take up a new 24 month contract term in exchange for a free migration to Extreme ADSL2+ (where available).
Customers can also choose to relocate their ADSL service to a new location free of charge, by taking up a new 24 month contract as part of the relocation (or they can pay $99 to relocate without starting a new contract term).
