ADSL2+ now available at more than 1400 exchanges
Dubbed Internode ADSL TwoPlus, these plans are available at more than 1400 telephone exchanges Australia-wide.
Internode's ADSL TwoPlus plans range from $69.95 a month for a two-gigabyte (GB) download allowance to a 55GB download quota for $129.95 per month.
Comparison with BigPond ADSL2+ plans shows the Internode plans offer far better value at all price points. And the difference is even larger than it first appears, because BigPond plans charge for uploads plus downloads, compared to Internode broadband plans that feature unlimited uploads.
Access to ADSL2+ services through more than 1400 Telstra exchanges augments the existing Internode direct coverage of more than 110 exchanges, and the more than 350 Optus installations, that are already available to Internode customers.
The merged coverage footprint of these three ADSL2+ options means that Internode has one of the largest ADSL2+ coverage maps in Australia.
Internode product manager Jim Kellett said ADSL TwoPlus provided a greater range of choice for Internode customers because of its much wider availability. "Internode now offers the full range of broadband services throughout Australia," he said.
"Key beneficiaries of ADSL-TwoPlus will be businesses that require high-speed uploads to support services like VPN (Virtual Private Network) or multi-channel VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), because the new TwoPlus plans support unlimited data uploading at data rates of up to one megabit per second."
Internode ADSL TwoPlus is available nationally, everywhere that Telstra ADSL2+ equipment is installed. The service can be ordered online via the Internode website.
