Internode strips off dial-tone with Easy Naked plan
As well as saving around $30 per month by eliminating the traditional phone service, Easy Naked customers also benefit from $10 of Voice over Internet Protocol call credits every month. It is available to customers with direct access to telephone exchanges equipped with Internode's ADSL2+ equipment.
As with Internode's affordable range of Home broadband plans, Internode Easy Naked has no excess charges, unmetered cool content including online games and IP radio stations, up to five free email addresses and free personal webspace.
The Internode Easy Naked service operates at high speed ADSL2+, and is available over longer distances than ADSL services that share the line with an analog phone service. As with Internode Easy Broadband, the new plan counts both downstream and upstream traffic within its monthly data quota.
Internode product manager Jim Kellett said Internode Easy Naked builds on the success of Internode Easy Broadband. "It's clear that customers want a simple choice for broadband - one plan, great value, fixed price. A significant number of customers are ready to ditch the old dial tone - so Easy Naked addresses their needs, in the same way that Easy Broadband works for customers who still like their traditional phone service," he said.
"We've further sweetened the deal by including a free NodePhone2 Special service with a $10 a month worth of call credits: This goes a long way when you have 18-cent untimed national calls!"
Internode Easy Naked is available from today.
