Firstly, Internode has launched Micro-SIM cards that allow iPads to access its competitively priced NodeMobile Data 3G services, which cost from $14.95 for a 500 megabyte per month plan.

Concurrently, Internode has slashed $50 from the cost of its MiFi mobile hotspot device, providing a low-cost way for up to five iPad users to access the Web with a single 3G service. The MiFi now costs $249 bundled with a 24-month NodeMobile Data service, or $349 with no contract.

As well as its $14.95 entry plan, NodeMobile Data services cost $24.95 for two gigabytes (GB); $39.95 for 4 GB; and $49.95 for 6 GB. NodeMobile Data services are available to existing Internode customers and to new users with a capable device, such as the 3G iPad.

Internode also offers NodeMobile Data customers the flexibility of purchasing extra Data Blocks at standard NodeMobile Data prices if they exceed their monthly quota.

Internode product manager Jim Kellett said Internode’s existing NodeMobile Data service range was competitively priced against special iPad plans from other telcos. “We invite anyone buying an iPad to check out these plans for themselves because they offer excellent value,” he said.

“The beauty is that you don’t even need a 3G iPad to use the Internode network. If you buy one of our nifty little MiFi devices, you can share one 3G service among as many as five iPads.”
