Internode hailed as SA's largest technology company
In the annual inBusiness Top 100 list released today, Internode, including its sister company Agile Communications, is reported as the State's 18th largest company, with combined revenue of in excess of $200 million. Last year, Internode was at number 23.
Internode is Australia's largest privately-owned broadband company, employing more than 450 people nationally. The Adelaide-based business serves more than 190,000 commercial and residential customers throughout Australia with a tier one international communication network that has direct links to Asia, Europe and the US.
As the largest technology company on the Top 100 list, Internode is placed above businesses including communications manufacturer Codan Ltd and semiconductor company Legend Corporation.
This latest accolade follows another successful year for Internode which has seen it collect a swag of awards, including consistently topping customer satisfaction surveys held by credible organisations including consumer group Choice, research company Roy Morgan and survey firm Canstar Blue.
Internode CEO Patrick Tapper said the company's strong growth rate was based on its commitment to innovation and customer service. "Internode is proud to play a trail-blazing role in the Australian broadband sector," he said.
"We're also deeply committed to our customers, both by regularly revising our services so customers get the best value and through recruiting and training Australian-based customer support staff. What's gratifying is that our consistently strong growth is occurring as customers continue to rate Internode as Australia's best broadband service provider. That is the real mark of our success."
