FRITZ!Box rentals launched and prices cut
From today, Internode customers can avoid upfront costs for the AVM FRITZ!Box 7270 and 7390 routers and FRITZ!Fon DECT handsets by simply paying a monthly rental fee with a 24-month contract. Internode will rent customers the 7270 for $9.95 per month, the 7390 for $14.95 per month, and the DECT handset for $4.95 per month.
For customers who prefer to purchase the equipment outright, Internode has slashed $50 from the price of the two FRITZ!Box routers and $20 from the FRITZ!Fon handset.
Each FRITZ!Box router is packed with an impressive range of features that allow it to replace an entire cupboard full of separate devices. The sleekly designed device incorporates an integrated ADSL2+ modem, high speed Wireless N access point, sophisticated VoIP and landline phone system with answering machine, DECT cordless phone base station, USB file & print server and more.
Internode product manager Philip Dempster said Internode had introduced the FRITZ!Box rental program to satisfy customer demand. "Many customers prefer the affordability and convenience of renting their broadband hardware," he said.
"This has proved popular with the Set Top Box for Internode's FetchTV IPTV service, so we've introduced it as an option for customers who prefer to rent FRITZ!Box routers and hardware."
With the new FRITZ!Box pricing, the 7390 now costs $349, the 7270 costs $249 and the DECT handset costs $109. Internode has also cut $10 from the price of its FRITZ!WLAN WiFi USB Stick to just $79.
Internode has also reduced its FRITZ!Box bundle pricing by $50. The FRITZ!Box 7390 + FRITZ!Fon DECT handset now costs just $449 while the FRITZ!Box 7270 + FRITZ!Fon DECT handset costs $349.
