Internode welcomes 2013 with free WiFi at Glenelg
Strong wireless Internet coverage for the popular gathering place for tourist and visitors is available as the result of Internode installing three Cisco wireless Internet routers throughout the square.
Anyone visiting Moseley Square with a WiFi-capable device, such as an iPhone, Android and Windows smartphone or an iPad, can log on to the Internode hotspot for free to check email, send New Year photos and post Facebook updates.
The City of Holdfast Bay chose Internode as its partner to bring Internet access to one of Adelaide's most popular and accessible tourist attractions. Internode, which already has more than 400 wireless hotspots throughout the country including much of the Adelaide CBD, will also provide free WiFi coverage at other major tourist attractions in 2013 including the Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide.
Chief Technology Officer John Lindsay said Internode’s free wireless Internet access would make it easy for Moseley Square visitors to share their New Year celebrations. "Global roaming fees are a common problem, so the convenience of free WiFi access will make it easier for international tourists to send photos and Facebook updates without it costing them a fortune," he said.
