Setup Charges

NodeMobile Data is a SIM-only service. You'll need to bring your own mobile hardware.

• A NodeMobile Data SIM, MicroSIM, or NanoSIM will cost you $10; and
• a delivery charge of $5 applies anywhere in Australia.

Plan Changes

Because your broadband requirements may change over time, you're not locked into a particular monthly quota.

• A $10 charge applies for changing NodeMobile Data plans.
• You can request plan changes at any time via our online plan change tool (select 'NodeMobile' as the Access Type), whether you are within a contract term or not. Your plan change will take effect at the start of your next billing period.
• We'll send you an SMS when you've used 70% and 90% of your quota. Once you've used all of the quota you'll be placed in a "captive portal" to avoid the "bill shock" of excess usage charges.
• Remember you can use Data Blocks if you need an instant quota upgrade.

Hardware Requirements

You may require an approved modem, router, or personal hotspot to connect your NodeMobile Data service.

Performance

Typical download speeds usually exceed 512 kilobits per second from well-connected Internet data sources. However, this speed may be higher or lower in practice depending on a number of factors. These factors vary with:

• The equipment that you are using to access NodeMobile Data;
• The location at which you are using NodeMobile Data;
• The time at which you are using NodeMobile Data; and
• The web sites and applications that you are accessing.

If you are outside of a NodeMobile Data coverage area, then you won't be able to connect at all. Your speeds will be 'zero'.

As with any radio technology, local conditions affect your NodeMobile Data service. You may experience problems inside stone or concrete buildings, in tunnels, and underground. Electrical shielding—such as inside an elevator—may also affect performance.

Internode also applies traffic shaping to specific Internet traffic on NodeMobile Data. This optimises "real time" traffic (also called "eyeball traffic")—such as loading web pages. Traffic that is "non real time", such as large file transfers, are a second priority.

Because of this traffic shaping, Internet speed test tools do not provide useful speed measurements for NodeMobile Data.

NodeMobile Data Blocks

NodeMobile Data keeps your costs under control with no excess charges—but sometimes you need a little extra quota. NodeMobile Data Blocks offer a convenient way to top up your quota when you need it.

NodeMobile Data Blocks are completely optional, and you can buy one at any time during the month. You can even buy a NodeMobile Data Block once you've used all your quota and you're in the captive portal.

Please note that NodeMobile Data Blocks may take up to 60 minutes to take effect. For technical reasons, they may take longer between 2–6 a.m.

Important Information

• No international roaming
  International roaming is not offered with NodeMobile Data services.
• Choice of Dynamic or Static IP address
  Residential NodeMobile Data services include a dynamic IP address by default. If you need a static IP address, select a Business NodeMobile Data service, which includes a static IP address and is available for an extra $5 per month.
• Uploads + Downloads
  The monthly quota allocation on NodeMobile Data services is counted as the sum of both uploads and downloads.
• Definitions (in accordance with Australian ISP conventions):
  • 1 MB or 1 Mbyte is 1 Megabyte = 1,000,000 bytes.
  • 1 GB or 1 Gbyte is 1 Gigabyte = 1,000 Megabytes.

Customers who have applied for Internode NodeMobile Data have entered an agreement with Internode. When you signed up for a service you agreed to the Internode Customer Relationship Agreement, the Internode NodeMobile Data Service Description, and the Internode Mobile Hardware Service Description. These were Internode's standard terms and conditions for the NodeMobile Data service.
